Sentir is a 1,700-square-foot restaurant in Midtown Manhattan designed by Studio RB for City Roots Hospitality — a project that asked for intimacy, warmth, and a sense of arrival that made guests feel immediately at ease. The brief built on the studio’s deep experience with the City Roots brand family, while asking for something that stood clearly on its own.
Studio RB designed the entry sequence as a carefully considered transition from the street: a host stand in warm stone, lighting that shifted from bright to intimate as guests moved further into the space, and a palette of earthy plaster, aged oak, and textured tile that rewarded close attention. Every seat in the house was designed to feel like the best seat in the house.
