Hudson Play is a 4,000-square-foot children’s activity centre in Jersey City, New Jersey — one of Studio RB’s most joyful and complex commercial projects. The brief asked for an interior that could function simultaneously as a play space for children, a comfortable environment for parents, and an events venue that could transform at short notice.
Studio RB designed the space around a series of distinct zones — a ninja course, a café, reception, bathrooms, and an adult seating area — each with its own character while maintaining a cohesive visual identity throughout. Durable materials, bold colour, and carefully considered lighting at multiple heights served children and adults in equal measure.
