Haam is a 1,200-square-foot restaurant in Brooklyn designed by Studio RB in 2026 for Healthy As A Motha. What was once a bare, unremarkable space underwent a complete transformation — reimagined from the ground up as a Caribbean-inspired dining destination that transports guests the moment they walk through the door.
The Caribbean identity runs through every material choice. The bar front is clad in tiles of shifting blues — layered shades chosen to mimic the ocean. The countertop is leathered Taj Mahal stone, its warm sandy texture an unmistakable nod to the shore. Above, a wooden canopy draped in lush greenery brings the tropical canopy of the Caribbean indoors. And crowning it all: steel pans — the iconic instrument of the islands — reimagined in bold colors and transformed into dramatic pendant lights. They are at once art, memory, and the room’s most talked-about detail.
The result is a space that feels like a genuine getaway: vibrant, soulful, and unlike anything else in Brooklyn. A transformation that proves great design can carry an entire world within four walls.
